If you want an additional proof that Apple is the platform for musicians: The Los Angeles Times make a citation in their 11 April edition concerning a persistent rumor that Apple and Vivendi Universal are heavily and frequently discussing about the selling of Universal Music to Apple for $6 billion. Universal Music stands for a quarter of the total CD sales worldwide!
The rumor details that Apple is planning to make his offer before the meeting of the Vivendi director board on 29th of April.

In addition to the 01 X (Macmusic's news on March 6th), Yamaha presents the MY8 mLan, an extension card for digital consoles.
The MY8 mLan is an E/S interface card in mLAN format (for latest version of OS X) for 01V, D24, AW4416, DME32 and PM1D.
This little wonderful gear will simply transform the 01 V to a big "Firewire" audio interface for Mac.
