DUNE (pour "Differential Unison Engine") est une technologie qui perfectionne la fonction 'unisson' des synthétiseurs en donnant la possibilité de moduler individuellement chacune des voix de l'unisson, ce qui permet de convevoir des sons à plusieurs couches.

- 2 oscillateurs avec Osc Sync, Pulse Width, modulation en anneau et modulation de fréquence
- Sub Oscillator
- bouton FAT pour les deux oscillateurs, chacun générant 7 oscillateurs désaccordés

DUNE 2 was rewritten from scratch, in order to provide a yet higher sound quality and allow for an even wider range of sounds. New oscillators, new filters, new effects and graphical envelopes are just some of the new additions.

With a maximum reserve of 8320 oscillators at full polyphony, DUNE 2 is a true unison monster, unlikely to ever run out of oscillators.

Synapse DUNE is now digitally signed for Apple's Gatekeeper secure download system, in order to comply with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. This allows a smooth installation without workarounds when Gatekeeper is activated.

# Improved VCO quality for the classic sawtooth and square oscillators, giving an even more transparent, analog sound.
# Modulation and Pitch bend wheel now respond more smoothly.
# Engine system which guaranteets that the sound stays consistent after upgrading. Old projects using Dune use the engine the project was saved with; new projects use the latest engine.
# Modulation Matrix has row numbers now.
# Pitch Bend wasn't visually updated in some hosts when loading a project, fixed.
# Mac Audio Unit version uses 20-30% less CPU than previously.

Both the 32- and 64-bit versions have been updated to allow DUNE to work after installation into restricted user accounts. Previously this would require to run the host DAW with administrator priviliges, which is no longer necessary.
