Accurate Key detection for smooth harmonic mixes
There's accurate build-in key detection right in Cross DJ: no need for third party software anymore. Key can be displayed in classic notation or harmonic code, making it easy to find matching tracks.
Key control and dynamic display
Key is just as important as BPM. Cross DJ displays it straight into the deck header. Match it automatically to the master deck, or change the pitch manually by semi-tones. The dynamic key display reflects those changes, and turns white when in harmony.
Browsing by key is now super easy: key compatible tunes are highlighted in bright orange. Focus on other search criteria, and the key still pops up.
Easy browsing with new full screen collection
Selection is the heart of DJing. The collection view is now more intuitive than ever with the new mini-players. It gives more space to browse tracks, while keeping an eye on what’s playing. Additionally, you can now drag and drop tracks between players and samplers - useful when you have only one turntable or CDJ.

Peak view markers : better understanding of track structure
DJs are used to production software grids to understand a track’s structure. Cross DJ is the first DJ application to show those markers on the track’s peak view, making it easy to mix musical phrases.

Cross 2.3 works with the complete Pioneer range (CDJ2000nexus, CDJ2000, CDJ900, 850, 400 and 350) with a super easy setup. All you need is your laptop and 2 USB cables - no additional soundcard required.

8 pad Sampler: Sampling is and has always been a fundamental component of modern music composing and performance. Cross 2.0 offers 8 sampler pads which opens a new door for all types of DJs. The BPM of samples can be linked with the speed of a player. You can now browse and manage samples exactly like tracks, meaning you can rapidly organize and load sample banks to the pads.

FX: 14 ultra-precise audio effects are now controlled with two parameters. FX can either be applied to the player, the sampler pads or the master output. The low pass and high pass "bi-filter" directly accessed with a separate control in the mixer.

8 Locators: Locators now serve as hot cues or can also trigger a preset loop. This professional option mimics the standard Pioneer CDJ behavior.

Crossfader Assigning: Players and samplers are assigned by default to crossfader but can also bypass it to directly feed the master output.

Ergonomics: The layout engine has been reviewed and improved. A modular software appearance has been developed with extra care to rapidly hide or display the relevant tools needed for a particular mix.

Quantize: A professional live performance feature which corrects human rhythmic errors. Meaning that if you play a sample slightly early or late relative to the beat it will be synced automatically to it. The quantizing granularity values range from 1/16 beat to 16 beats and can be applied to either a player or a sampler. When activated, rhythmic errors disappear and the audio mix flows seamlessly.

The limiter interacts with the master output and compresses the frequencies that cause saturation ensuring maximum volume with outstanding sound quality and no hiss or rumbling in the speakers!

Last but not least, you'll be able to trigger twice as many Locators from now on. CROSS 1.5 features 6 savable Locators for more control over your live mash-ups and on the fly remix performances.

CROSS can now be controlled using MixVibes timecoded Vinyls or CDs.

Featuring the well known absolute mode, a Relative mode (similar to MixVibes 7 's All Relative mode) and a new Flexible mode allowing to temporarily disconnect the control media (Vinyl or CD) to do whatever needed (needle cleaning, vinyl/CD replacing, etc.) without breaking your mix.
Any warping mode (Resampling, Master Tempo, Hybrid) is available using External Control. Enjoy the Master Tempo qualities without losing the possibility to scratch whenever you want !

U46MK2 full compatibility

Moreover, the U46Mk2 soundcard is now natively handled so that the monitoring and volumes settings are automatically set by CROSS.
