MDW Hi-Res Parametric EQ

Massenburg DesignWorks has just released version 5 of its state-of-the-art MDW Hi-Res Parametric EQ. Originally designed exclusively for Pro Tools|HD systems, version 5 offers new AAX DSP and AAX Native format support, giving you the flexibility to use the EQ across the entire Pro Tools 10-based product line, including Pro Tools|HDX systems.

Enhanced User Interface

View the frequency grid in 6, 12, or 24 dB resolution. Copy and paste band settings. Completely redesigned page tables for ICON D-Control worksurfaces and other Digidesign control surfaces organize bands in ergonomic groups on the channel strips.

Three- and Five-Band Versions

With both three- and five-band versions of the plug-in, you can select the three-band version to conserve DSP resources when only three bands are needed.

Improved DSP Efficiency

MDW Hi-Res Parametric EQ 2.0 has been optimized so you can instantiate more copies of the plug-in in each session. The three-band version can be instantiated nine times per DSP chip at 48 and 96 kHz on Pro Tools|HD Accel systems. The five-band version can be instantiated five times per DSP chip at 48 and 96 kHz on Pro Tools|HD Accel systems.

IsoPeak Functionality

IsoPeak lets you quickly isolate and sweep through the frequency spectrum to find the targeted frequency, with just a click of the band button. Set your own IsoPeak presets for quick recall.

A/B Snapshots

Toggle between two separate EQ settings and copy one snapshot setting to the other.

Phase Invert

Invert the phase of a track. For example, use Phase Invert to match the phase of a snare track with overhead or room tracks.

Fixes a bug where support for control surfaces was lost when using Pro Tools 6.3 or lower.

MDW EQ 1.1 eliminates intermittent cases where the plug-in would output a full code noise burst.
