Level the volume of iTunes songs
With iVolume you can bring all your iTunes songs to the same loudness. Therefore no simple peak analysis is made. Instead, the real from the human ears perceived loudness is calculated with an appropriate algorithm. The results of iVolume are better than those of the built-in "Sound Check" function in iTunes.

For my own pleasure I make mixtapes involving very diverse material from all manner of sources. Even with pro compression. iVolume makes a BIG difference in consistent and more enjoyable playback. I did several experiments with my audio chain with iVolume on/off and the difference is large, I wouldn't want to do without...great product and great price :)
