Standalone Digidesign CoreAudio Driver

Version 7.3 of the Standalone Digidesign CoreAudio Drivers is the first standalone version for Intel-based Macs, and includes a Universal Binary installer for installation on both PowerPC- and Intel-based Mac OS X 10.4.

Requirements
The Standalone Digidesign CoreAudio Drivers v7.3 can be installed on systems that do not have Pro Tools installed on Mac OS X 10.4.x "Tiger". (instructions below)

The Standalone Digidesign CoreAudio Driver v7.3 is officially supported on Mac OS X 10.4.8 (10.4.7 and lower not tested)

The Digidesign CoreAudio Driver is a multi-client, multichannel sound driver that allows CoreAudio-compatible applications to record and play back through the following Digidesign audio interfaces:

Support for Digidesign hardware on Mac OS 10.4 Tiger without Pro Tools installed

Requirements
This download is for owners of supported Digidesign hardware on Mac OS X 10.4.x "Tiger" that wish to install the Digidesign CoreAudio Driver without installing Pro Tools.

- Fix for large TDM systems where the driver would timeout waiting for the Manager app to auto-launch
- Fixed a problem where older versions of Avid Xpress DV and Avid Xpress Pro would produce noise out of outputs 5-8

Requirements
- Mac OS X version 10.3.x

- Pro Tools TDM 6.7 for HD or Pro Tools LE 6.7 for 002, 002 Rack and Mbox is required if Pro Tools is installed (must be installed before installing the Digidesign CoreAudio Driver 6.7, or installed during Pro Tools 6.7 installation)
- Although not fully tested, if using with older versions of Pro Tools, Pro Tools must be installed before installing the Digidesign CoreAudio Driver 6.7.

- Digidesign CoreAudio Driver 6.7 can be installed as "standalone" without Pro Tools installed on Mac OS X 10.3.x "Panther".

- The 6.5.1 standalone installer did not install all necessary components on clean systems without any Pro Tools installation. This problem is fixed in 6.5.2.
