Pitchshift, timestretching and spatial separation
Speedster is a free AudioUnit plug-in which allows real-time pitchshift & timestretching treatments. It also can transform a simple stereo file into a left+center+right signal and to perform a different signal to each.

This is an excellent , this is better than the resident pitch shifting on my Digital Performer. It's just what I needed.
