The Dave Smith Evolver just reached V 2.0 of its software, adding a 4th bank (512 programs in all now), new modulations, synchronous program changing with the sequencer running, tap tempo, longer envelopes, new glide and new trigger modes, new clock mode for the sequencer, and much much more… and an easter egg (bank 4, patch 16)

The update is 2 sysex dump files, all new Evolvers go out of factory with the new OS. An additional dump gives the 4th bank content. Also PC users have now a complete editor for $, but mac users have their own for free Thanks to Cycling'74 Max/MSP and a DSE fanatic Matthew Davidson ;)

Now upon the future and coming fast poly Evolver: it will be a rack, four voices, stackable with simple Evolvers or other racks up to… well… a lot.
