The new mic is equipped with two large diaphragm capsules with three polarn patterns: omni, cardioid and figure-8. Tascam presents the US-100, a new USB 2.0 Audio Interface positioned at a breakthrough price. It features a microphone input as well as instrument level input for direct recording guitar or bass. Universal Audio has just announced the availability of a new version of UAD Powered Plug-Ins Software.

UAD Software Version 5.4.1 provides functional and sonic improvements to the FATSO Jr./Sr. Powered Plug-In, as well as a new "Clear CPU Affinity" setting for Windows users, which reduces CPU spiking on most multi-processor systems.

This update is recommended to all UAD owners — and especially FATSO Jr./Sr. plug-in users and Windows users on multi-processor systems.

Note that FATSO Jr./Sr. v5.4.1 session and preset settings are not backwards compatible with v5.4.0.
