IZotope has just announced the release of a new update for its virtual drum machine iDrum.

Changes of version 1.71 :

• Audio Hardware Setup menu in standalone version allows user to adjust latency.
• Fixed Sync problem with latest versions of iDrum for iPhone/iPod touch.

DDMF releases true stereo wrappers for the IIEQPro and LP10 equalizer plug-ins. This means that the left and right channel can now be treated independently. On top of that, you can also switch to mid-side mode and equalize the mid and the side signal with different settings.

The wrappers are now part of the standard package. All existing users will receive a free upgrade.

Intelligent Devices has announced the upcoming release of MegaDelayMass, a new kind of multi-tap delay plug-in.

Think about this: up to 100 separate delay taps that can be either rigidly time synched or completely randomized. Go from vocoderish resonation to unusual, non-linear, reverby sounds. Control the volume of the head of the delay or the tail. Randomize panning. Control randomized "clumping" through a logarithmic curve. Use it as a non-linear room simulator (especially if you're a fan of pre-delay). If you're familiar with Pure Data, MAX/MSP or REAKTOR, you can easily create patches that allow you to "play" the resonation.
