Solid State Logic announces the launch of Pro-Convert, a translation application for moving sessions from one DAW environment to another. Pro-Convert enables workstation users to convert session files from one format to another and can handle many commonly used formats including the latest versions from: ProTools, Soundscape, Cubase/Nuendo, Vegas, Sonic Studio, SADiE, Final Cut Pro, Audition, OMF, AES31, Sequoia, Open TL and Tascam BU.
This 14 GB/4 DVD library contains over 1700 instruments, tempo synced loops, and multis. The Elements operates on both Mac and PC platforms and is delivered in Audio Unit, VST, DXi, and RTAS formats. The library comes preloaded with Kontakt Player 2 software and is ready to go out of the box as both a standalone instrument and plug-in. The library can also be loaded and customized in the full version of Kontakt 2.

Frontier Design Group has just released AlphaTrack's v1.2 driver, which includes support for Ableton Live v5.2.1 or later. AlphaTrack is a compact controller with a high-resolution fader for DAW mixing and editing, which fits easily on the desktop and is also a great companion for laptops. It runs in Windows XP and Vista, and Mac OS X (including Intel Macs). AlphaTrack connects to the computer using a single USB cable, and does not require an external power supply.

The HDSPe ExpressCard is specified as an ExpressCard/34 and provides the same features as the successful PCMCIA version. The card comes with drivers for Windows XP (multi-client operation of MME, GSIF and ASIO 2.0) and brand new drivers for Windows Vista and Vista 64. Apple users are perfectly served with Power PC and MAC Universal (Intel) drivers providing Core Audio and Core MIDI support.
