Image Line has announced PoiZone, a new synth VST instrument for Windows and Mac OS X (Universal Binary). A public beta version is available via the looptalk
forum. PoiZone is a subtractive synthesizer designed to bring you "professional quality results", without a learning curve that hinders your creativity. The concept behind PoiZone was to design a synthesizer that had the smallest number of controls while providing the maximum flexibility and features.

Primo Media has released voxReducer v1.2, a free Audio Unit plug-in for Mac OS X designed to reduce the level of the main vocal track in a stereo music audio file. It will reduce a good amount of the lead vocal track, however, due to stereo effects processing on the vocal track during recording, the vocal track cannot be removed completely.

voxReducer includes four factory presets designed for different musical genres - Jazz, Light Rock, Hard Rock, and Metal.

Arturia updates the Moog Modular V to version 2.2 including Universal Binary support.

HairerSoft has released version 0.9.9 of Amadeus Pro. This is the latest public beta release of Amadeus Pro, the brand new sound editor from HairerSoft. It brings a wealth of new features to the Amadeus family of sound editors, like multitrack editing, batch processing, CD burning and many more.

Version 0.9.9 is a release candidate and will not be altered substantially before release version 1.0.

Synful Orchestra has been updated to version 2.3.2 for Mac OS X, which is now a Universal Binary. This version runs on both new Intel Macs and older Power PC Macs and has no new sounds or other new features compared to version 2.3.0 so the only reason to download and install this is if you want to run Synful Orchestra on a new Intel Mac.

Manytone Music has announced the release of ManyOne, a fully-featured, high-quality, sample player plug-in for Mac OS X (UB) in VST and AU formats that comes with a wide range of sounds classified in four categories: electric pianos, ensembles, organs, and waveforms (which include classic analog waves). The waveforms can be used as they come or some of the synthesis tools can be applied through the simple interface to tweak the sounds.
