Audeon releases the first Mac OS X beta version (b0.9) of their software synthesizer UFO (Unique Filters and Oscillators). UFO is a software synthesizer built upon Audeon's proprietary TransModal Synthesis technology. Its oscillator model is controlled by perceptual attributes such as Periodicity, Brightness, Noisiness or Chaos, etc, lying on 2D controllers.

Modular audio multi-effects plug-in SFX Machine Pro has been updated to version 1.0.1, which now adds Mac OS X Universal Binary compatibility, adds VST 2.4 support and fixes a bug with Digital Performer. Audio effects plug-in SFX Machine RT has also been updated to version 1.0.6 which adds MacIntel support too, and fixes sevreal bugs.

These updated versions are available for free.

TubePlug version 1.0.5 is a new and free audio plugin. It can connect multiple tubePlug users via an internet connection and allows multi-channel audio exchange between users. The plugin has three modes and can be a receiver, sender or server.

TubePlug is available for free as VST or Audio Units formats.

Plasq announces an update to version 2.0 Universal Binary and another update to version 2.0.1 for its Rax. These releases add :

- Allow songs and sets to be duplicated.
- Menu and volume buttons on the IR Remote now usable.
- Some error numbers were being reported in the wrong format.
- Cancelling the PreStage process results in an error message when it shouldn't, and more.

Updates are free for current users and full version costs $49.95.

IRCAM has updated a bunch of softwares in June :

- Najo Sampler for MaxMSP is now available with sounds and demo
- FTM Library and Suivi for Max/MSP is now available
- MODALYS 2.5.68 for Mac OS X now includes a lisp version, and an OpenMusic & Modalys~ library for MaxMSP
- SuperVP 2.85 is available as MacOsX version.

CodeOperator has released a new version 1.3 for its DelayPack. This release includes two new delays, COTapeDelay and CODirtyDelay, and fixes several bugs in the other five delays. DelayPack is a Package with very usefull DelayPlugins made with Pluggo-MAX/MSP from cycling74, and includes COSimpleDelay , COSpectralDelay5, COModulationDelay, CODuckingDelay and COPingPongDelay.

Arturia announces that the demo version of Analog Factory is now available. This light version does not require a syncrosoft key, but has some limitation : only 137 presets available, Prophet V unavailable. From classic phat lead lines to crystalline digital pads, Analog Factory provides the contemporary musician with a broad, versatile and instantly striking sonic palette. The intuitive interface includes a smart Preset Manager that allows in just a few clicks to find desired sounds from within the huge preset collection. But Analog Factory is not only a collection of sounds. Since it is based on synthesis, all sounds are dramatically modifiable. A set of the most essential parameters provides the user with an efficient way to tweak and alter the sonic character of the sound. Presets all carefully selected from the Arturia Classic Synths (minimoog V, Moog Modular V, CS-80V, ARP 2600 V, Prophet V and Prophet VS).

Analog Factory will be available in July 2006 as Stand-alone, VST, Audio Units, and RTAS formats, for 199€.

Audio Damage announces the release of Discord version 2.0. This update includes Universal Binary version for MacIntel and features a new and easier-to-read user interface, a true stereo signal chain, with individual controls for every parameter, twin tempo-synced delays and MIDI Learn. Combining a stereo pitch shifter with digital delay lines and analog-style filters, this plug-in is capable of accurately simulating vintage digital pitch and harmonizing effects, as well as creating interesting sounds in its own right.

Discord v2.0 (VST, AU) ships for $49. Update from v1.0 or v1.4 costs $10.

Cube 2.1 brings the "Daddy of all additive synths" to Intel based Macs and to ProTools users with the long awaited RTAS interface. This new version also comes with an improved spectral analysis algorithm for more natural resynthesized sounds ! This update now features :

- RTAS plugin for Protools 7.x / Digidesign for all platforms including MacIntel.
- Universal Binaries for MacIntel platform compatibility.
- VST 2.4 compatibility.
- The spectral analyzer uses now improved algorithms for much better analysis of harmonic and inharmonic sound files.
- Bugfixes (Logic 7.1 stereo version working again, MIDI channels 10 and 14 now correctly shown in setup page, Occasional clicks when using the built in keyboard removed)
