ANWIDA Soft has released the Audio Unit versions of CX1V, L1V, GEQ15V, GEQ31V and PEQ1V. They are now available as AU and VST plugins for Mac OS X based systems.
Korg has just updated its Legacy Collection Digital Edition to version 1.2. This update includes a significant upgrade to the Wavestation software synthesizer : Filter Resonance, 50 new Performances, 35 new Patches, 32 new Wave Sequences. Saving and Loading by Bank has also been added, greatly simplifying sound management. The v1.2 update also includes the M1 v1.5.1 and MDE-X v1.2.3 which include some small bug fixes.
This updated version is freely available in the MacMusic software section.
Wondered the signification of Apple attitude "we won't hinder the booting of XP on Intel Mac", well it's simple. Apple just released the beta of Boot Camp the future integrated dual-boot solution of Leopard (OS X 10.5)… If Apple wants to have the most open computing platform, it should give us Virtualization then! It'll be even better, or are they preparing that? (wondering)

When Solid State Logic issued the AWS 900, they had Pro Tools users in mind. Now the 900+ extends deeply the capabilities at last to Nuendo, Digital Performer and Logic. At last! Beside the Aluminium sides (perfect along the G5 quad I'd say ;), displays and meters have been revised, the new communication protocol permits the use of the faders and D-pots on plug-ins and virtual instruments, there's workstation master fader support. The maybe dream machine of controllers/interface gets even better.

The AES Pro Audio Expo & Convention returns to Paris in 2006 and for the first time, will be held at Paris Expo, the leading French exhibition centre and the 4th biggest complex in Europe. An update to Mac OS 10.4.6 Apple's operating system is now available, via Software update utility, and on the Apple Web site. This update includes general operating system fixes, as well as specific fixes for the following applications and technologies: login and authentication in a variety of network environments, file access and byte range locking with AFP file sharing, network access when using proxy server automatic configuration files, connecting to Cisco VPN servers using IP/Sec, using Bluetooth wireless devices, searching iWork '06 and Microsoft Office documents with Spotlight, saving Word documents automatically when using a network home directory, creating Automator workflows for iPhoto 6, synchronizing contacts and calendars to .Mac and mobile phones, mounting and unmounting iDisk volumes, compatibility with third party applications and devices and previous standalone security updates.
The Mac OS X 10.4.6 Update (delta) updates Mac OS X 10.4.5 to version 10.4.6 on both Intel-based Macs and PowerPC-based Macs.

Recorded files could end up earlier on the timeline than where they were recorded ? Renaming a surround file results in file channel suffixes being ordered incorrectly ? Wave Idea which makes the Bitstream controllers announced its factoring partnership with CME, the control keyboard and audio interfaces manufacturer. CME will build and distribute from now on the Wave Idea product line. The first product concerned is the Bitstream 3X. We await eagerly the fruits of the collaboration of both crews!
