VST to RTAS Adapter has been updated to version 2.0. This new version is now optimized for Pro Tools 7, adds support for multiple outputs from VST instruments and features a new configuration utility. The VST to RTAS Adapter enables VST effects plug-ins and VST Instruments to be used seamlessly and transparently as RTAS plug-ins in your Pro Tools session. This adapter uses virtually no CPU power or memory and makes a vast range of VST plug-ins (over 1,000 available at the last count) available directly within ProTools.
URS announces URS Everything EQ Bundle 5.0 and Classic Console EQ Bundle 2.0 are now available in Audio Units and Mac VST versions. The Everything EQ Bundle v5.0 now features two new seven band fully parametric equalizer plug-ins : the A-MIX and the N-MIX. The URS Classic Console EQ Bundle v2.0 now includes four plug-ins: URS A series EQ and URS N series EQ and the new URS A MIX EQ and URS N MIX EQ.
The Everything EQ Bundle v5.0 upgrade is free for all registered Everything EQ Bundle v4.0 owners. Previous URS Classic Console EQ Bundle owners of the A series and N series can also upgrade to the URS Classic Console EQ Bundle v2.0 and receive the URS A-MIX and URS N-MIX EQ's for free.
IK Multimedia announces that its new Classik Studio Reverb bundle is now shipping worldwide. This plugins suite offers 4 high-end reverb choices: Plate, Room, Hall and Inverse, designed to get the maximum musicality for easy integration into any mix situation. This year marks 60 years since ENIAC launched the world into the Computing Age. The 'Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer' is well known to be one of the very first electronic computer. Digidesign currently anticipates that in May 2006 it will release versions of Digidesign Pro Tools LE 7 and Pro Tools M-Powered 7 software that are compatible with the new Intel-based MacBook Pro and iMac computers. At the same time, Digidesign will release Intel Mac–compatible versions of all Digidesign and Digidesign-distributed RTAS and AudioSuite plug-ins, plus all software options, including the new Music Production Toolkit for Pro Tools LE and Pro Tools M-Powered systems, as well as the DigiTranslator 2.0 and DV Toolkit 2 options for Pro Tools LE.
Digidesign will continue to support Pro Tools LE and Pro Tools M-Powered software on the PowerPC platform as well. Because neither the MacBook Pro nor the iMac offer the PCI, PCI-X, or PCI Express (PCIe) expansion slots required for Pro Tools|HD systems, Digidesign will not release a new version of Pro Tools HD software for these computers.

Apple this week will begin shipping the new 15-inch MacBook Pro notebook computer featuring the new Intel Core Duo processor. All models of the new MacBook Pro will ship with faster Intel Core Duo processors than previously announced.
- The $2,499 model now includes a 2.0 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, up from the previously announced 1.83 GHz,
- and the $1,999 model now includes a 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, up from the previously announced 1.67 GHz.
In addition, customers may now upgrade to a 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo processor as a build-to-order option on the Apple Store.
VirSyn has updated its modular synth Tera to version 3.1.0. It now features : Quality setting for sampler module (very fast standard / slow high quality), Stereo sample files now possible, Enhanced randomizer function, Stereo phaser/flanger option, Polyphonic unison function with random sample variation, Fractal random presets for spectrum oscillator and custom oscillator, Improved step sequencer layout, and several bugs fixed. VirSyn TERA is a modular software synthesizer based on five different synthesis technologies including the the "Spectrum synthesis". This new synthesis allows the creation and manipulation of resonant bodies with up to 128 formant frequencies.

A-kit is a set of 7 plugins (plus a registration plugin). These are VST, RTAS et AU compatible. They need 44,1 kHz sessions. These modules, drived by MIDI tracks, produce the sounds of a drum set. They react on velocitys and "attack's location on the instrument" instructions. This collection contains : Kick, Snare, HiHat, Crash, Ride, Hi Tom and Lo Tom.
The pack is available for $20 or 15€ and a demo version is available.
Chandler Limited and EMI/Abbey Road Studios announce version 1.0.1 of the EMI TG 12413 Limiter plug-in for Pro Tools. This version resolves instability some TDM users reported under 1.0, and is recommended for all TDM users. There are no changes to the LE version of the plug-in. Please note this is a free upgrade. To update a plug-in to version 1.0.1, download the demo version of the plug-in and drop the dpm file into your plug-in folder. This will not affect any authorizations.
The EMI TG 12413 demos have also been updated to version 1.0.1.
NSLAM is an open-source audio suite for multi-channel audio application development, developed by the SAT Audio Group. It is written for the PD (Pure Data, by M. Puckette) environment and includes a library of low-level DSP objects called "xjimmies" (most of which, has been also ported to Max/MSP), online help, and example applications for multi-channel audio streaming and immersive audio, among others. The "xjimmies" library included with nSLAM v2.0 offers new functionality not defined in the original "jimmies" (IRCAM 1994) running under Max/MSP. Specifically, a number of new objects have been added for working with multichannel sound, sound source simulation and immersive audio.
