Digidesign announces that Neyrinck SoundCode for Dolby Digital is now available for Pro Tools|HD. The Neyrinck SoundCode for Dolby Digital plug-in suite provides mastering-quality workflow tools that enable you to encode and decode Dolby Digital (AC-3) audio directly within Pro Tools software, without the need for dedicated Dolby hardware. Neyrinck SoundCode is compatible with HTDM/RTAS/AS on Mac OS X, and an iLok authorization is required.
U-he (Urs Heckmann) announced the new version 2.0 of Zebra, a major update of this modular synthesizer plug-in, featuring a redesigned interface. The full version of Zebra 2.0 is expected to be released in 2006 but a preview VST/AudioUnits version is already available for download. Zebra 2.0 can be pre-ordered for $169, and the full price will be $199.
Cycling'74 announces new versions 3.5.3 of Pluggo, Pluggo Jr. and the Pluggo Runtime, a new version 1.2.3 of MODE, a new version 1.0.1 of Hipno and at last a new version 4.5.6 of Max/MSP. This updated version of Max/MSP fixes several bugs, and new versions of Pluggo, Mode and Hipno fix also several bugs : errors with Resonation plugin and PluggoFuzz plugin, fix for plugmidiout in Live 5, and Pluggo plugins are now properly listed in the AudioSuite menu.

Digidesign announces that Mac OS 10.4.3 operating system is now officially qualified with all Pro Tools 7 systems:
- Pro Tools|HD and Pro Tools|HD Accel systems with Pro Tools HD 7 software;
- Digi 002, Digi 002 Rack, Mbox 2, and Mbox systems with Pro Tools LE 7 software;
- Supported M-Audio hardware with Pro Tools M-Powered 7 software.
Edirol introduces a new visual performance package for the visual artist and performing musician. The "motion dive .tokyo performance package" is the combination of digitalstage's motion dive.tokyo software. This tool takes an unique approach by taking two visual sources, and then mixing and switching them in a DJ style performance. the software is bunled with a specially designed console, the MD-P1.

E-MU announced the release of new PM5 precission monitors. E-MU's new PM5 Precision Monitor has been designed from the ground up to deliver hyper-accurate audio in a compact design. Celemony releases a new public beta version of Melodyne 3. With the assistance of numerous Melodyne users, Celemony has been able to find and fix a number of bugs in the original beta version. This second Melodyne 3 Public Beta will run without limitations until mid-december with your existing Melodyne serial number and is installed as a separate application. Please be carreful that analysis files created by Melodyne 3 cannot be read by versions 2.6 or earlier, and that existing files may be overwritten by Melodyne 3.
We announced last week new version 1.2.4 and new beta 1.3 version of Audacity. It seems that this new beta 1.3 version has some very interesting features for a free software. New features in Audacity 1.3 have been grouped into six major categories : Collapse/Expand Tracks, Multiple clips per track, Selection Bar, Improved Label Tracks, QuickTime and Audio Units support on Mac OS X.
Because Audacity 1.3 is an "unstable beta version" of Audacity, you can install both Audacity 1.2 and 1.3 on the same machine.
Focusrite released a v2.0 software upgrade for its firewire audio interface Saffire. This upgrade includes enhanced 192kHz and Firewire operation, improved identifiability of Mute, Solo Dim and Hardware control buttons, Rollover help for SaffireControl, and bug removal.
