 Version 1.3 of Receptor is now available. This update contains numerous new features, fixes, and improvements, including support for multiple outputs, new key command, MIDI CC display for plugins, and additional plugin support (Minimonsta, Oddity, Stylus RMX,...).
 Wormhole has moved from ApulSoft Plasq, and has been updated to version 2.0, simpler and optimized. Wormhole2 allows for routing of audio between computers on a network allowing you to make use of all the processing power in your studio. This new version features : reduced latency and CPU use, new intuitive and informative user interface, auto latency compensation for round-trip connections, multiple channels can be "sample-locked", no more config application - it auto configures, and auto-negotiates connections.
Wormhole2 (VST, AU) costs US$49.95 and demo versions are available.
 The Jack OS X team announces the release of a new version 0.7 of Jack OS X, a Mac OS X implementation of the Jack Audio Connection Kit (Jack). Jack is a low-latency audio server, that connects any number of different applications to a single hardware audio device; it also allows applications to send and receive audio to and from each other. Jack also includes both AU and VST plugins, as well as the ability to send and receive low-latency audio over a network.
Jack OS X continues to be free and open source!
 IDrum is an easy to use drum machine software, it can be used as a standalone program or as an AudioUnit plug-in. Our fellows Doug Edge and Clay Chaplin from AudioMidi reviews this amazing drum machine.
 Digidesign announces an update for Digidesign LE systems users (mBox, Digi 002, Digi 002 Rack). The new version 6.9.2 of Pro Tools LE software is now compatible with Mac OS X "Tiger" 10.4.1 only. Pro Tools LE 6.7 or 6.9 must be installed first in order to use the Pro Tools LE 6.9.2 Updater, and you will need your Pro Tools LE 6.7 or 6.9 authorization information.
 Make Music announces that Finale 2006 updated version is now available. This new release of MakeMusic's notation software features : studio View and Powerful New Mixer, Tempo Tap, Integrated Kontakt Player and Garritan Sounds, Resize Noteheads (automatically), Chord Analysis (automatically), Mid-Measure Repeats, Split Measure, Embedded Graphics, Create Coda System and much more.
Finale 2006 is available as pre-order.

 FXpansion has released GURU in conjunction with Devine Machine. GURU is a sampling beat box featuring 8 engines (each with16 MIDI-triggered Sample Pads, step-sequencer with 24 MIDI-triggered Patterns, Three Aux effect slots and Insert effects slot), Sample Pad Editor (with individual control of Gain, pan, tuning, resonant filtering, Amp/FX envelopes and more), Advanced Step Sequencer (128 steps, 16 channels, 24 Pattern memories per engine and Graphical automation). GURU comes with more than 2GB of sample with material by Yellow Tools, Wizoo, Gearshift and others.
GURU (standalone, ReWire, VSTi, AudioUnit, RTAS) costs $249,00 or 199 euros.
 As usual, poor Pro Tools LE users are still waiting for a Pro Tools LE version compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. And as usual happy and rich Pro Tools TDM users have a new update for Pro Tools TDM. This week, update is number 6.9.2cs1 and fixes several bugs. This release needs a Pro Tools|HD and Pro Tools|HD Accel Systems, with Pro Tools TDM 6.9.2 Software only and Mac OS X 10.4.1 "Tiger" only.

 Native Instruments announces an updated version of Absynth. This 3.0.2 version adds several improvements and bugfixes : 8 individual outputs in plug-in mode, many fixes in the envelope page, surround LFE fixed. This version also features a new 'Active_Aurora.glo' preset designed by Brian Clevinger, the creator of Absynth, and 64 new "Universal Library Files".
 For a summer promotion, all the plug-ins that normally come with Power Suite are available for $99.95 each, from now until the end of July. TrackPlug, MasterVerb, FinalPlug and MultiDynamics, which are all normally $149.95, will be available for $50 off during this time.

 Digidesign announces an update to version 6.9cs2 for Pro Tools TDM. This release fixes this bug : Legacy Peripherals Attached to a 192 I/O or a 96 I/O (with Firmware Version 4.3) Would Exhibit Incorrect Gain at Their Inputs (Item # 59048). If you have a 192 I/O or 96 I/O, and the interface firmware version is 4.3, you need to run the DigiTest firmware updater. If your 192 I/O or 96 I/O has firmware version 3.0, incorrect input gain on legacy peripherals will not occur, and you will not be able to update the firmware. This does not apply to the 96i, which does not have a legacy port.
 Well, this time it's the SAE which has just announced it bought AMS NEVE… The SAE will support the company to broaden its marketshare (too) and issue new products (too), on the way to be issued soon.
