OrganWorks announced MidiJet, a new wireless MIDI system, designed to replace standard MIDI cables. Up to 64 wireless MIDI connections can be made with MidiJet system in the same environment.

A MidiJet kit costs $375.00.

M-Audio announces two new drivers for audio interfaces Delta 1010 and Delta 1010 LT. They fix MIDI timing and recording issues, OSX unistall problem, compatibility with Cubase SX and Peak and audio quality issues with AP249.

They are available in the MacMusic softs section.

Native Instruments has released four updates for : B4, FM7, Guitar Rig and the Kontakt Player used by Garritan Personal Orchestra. B4 and FM7 passe Logic 7 Audio Units Validation and Guitar Rig v1.1.2 features : time stretching for the Tapedeck can be globally turned off and diverse minor cosmetic enhancements and small bug fixes. But no information on the changes in Kontakt Player for Garritan Personal Orchestra.

The Vienna Symphonic Library adds more Horizon Series titles to its list of collections in Steinberg's HALion and Native Instruments' Kontakt format: Opus 1, Chamber Strings, Solo Strings, Epic Horns, Woodwind Ensembles and French Oboe.

But we have to wait until November to see the release of the Performance Tool for HALion and Kontakt on Mac OS X as well as the other libraries.

Ultimate Sound Bank has released a general update for all of their plug-ins : Ultra Focus, Charlie and all six Plugsound Volumes. These plugins are now compatible with latest version of the Apple Audio Units Validator and with Logic 7.

The NI FM 7 synthesizer reads the complete sound library from the classic FM synths. FM 7 is updated to version 1.1.2. and is now compatible with the latest version of the Apple AU Validator and with Logic 7.

XO Wave is a digital audio workstation designed to meet the needs of audio and video professionals. Though still under development, XO Wave provides a wealth of features as well as a simple and elegant interface. Features include non-destructive recording, editing and mixing, real-time crossfades, fully configurable mixer, Quicktime and AVI synchronization and, of course, infinite undos. This 7th beta includes a number of minor enhancements as well as a number of bug fixes, which should improve performance and usability, especially in the edit window.

The Minimoog Voyager Editor-Librarian is a program that is designed to be the ultimate tool for organizing and creating presets for the minimoog Voyager. Through a MIDI connection, this program can pull single presets or the entire bank of presets from the Voyager.

The voyager Editor costs $79. The Mac version is announced available for October..just wait...

ApulSoft has ported several freeware open source plug-ins to VST and Audio Units formats for Mac OS X. Following plugins are now available on free download :Bram's SupaPhaser, TobyBear's Decimator, TobyBear's and Bram's MadShifta, BetaBugs Crayon Filter, TobyBear's CowDelay and Black Water Reverb.

Note that if you are a plug-in developer on Mac and would like to have your plug-ins ported to OSX VST or AU, you can contact ApulSoft. Good news !!

Zebra is a virtual synthetizer plugin that combines subtractive/additive synthesis with a powerful modulation engine. This new version of Zebra (v1.5 build 10) is a bugfix version : MIDI Learn doesn't reset previous assignments when assigning a new CC and fixes Legato Mode works properly now in double or quad Voicings.

Audio Hijack Pro by Rogue Amoeba allows user to record audio from any app on the Mac. This update v2.1.1 features a new 'Add to iPod' script, improved handling of RealPlayer files, fixed several Timer-related bugs, including never-ending one-shot timers, fixed issues with AppleScripts causing crashes, as well as providing better AppleScript error dialog.

Mackie announces its new digital console X Bus X.200. This product will have two versions : X.200 and X.400 with similar architecture : unique interface with double touch sensitive monitor, 96 khz resolution (up to 192 khz), automation and DSP integrated, 25 touch sensitive faders, E/S card interface (and optional E/S card Firewire for audio streaming with computer. The two versions support Vst plug-ins and monitoring with Pro Tools, Logic, Digital Performer, Cubase SX, Nuendo and other audio software.

Following the recent launch of Electronic Instruments 2, Native Instruments is now also offering an enhanced version of the first Reaktor instrument collection. Electronic Instruments 1 consists of the drum machine "Rhythmaker", the lead synthesizer "Titan", the bass synth "Grobian", the pad synth "Atmotion", the envelope controlled multieffects unit "EnFX", the dub delay "Longflow" and the filter bank "Anima". The reissued version is now optimized for Reaktor 4 and Reaktor Session, and contains various enhancements to the instruments.

The revamped version of Electronic Instruments 1 is available now for $69 / 69 Euro.

MegaSeg DJ by Fidelity Media is a mobile DJ and radio station automation solution for MP3/QuickTime mixing and programming. This update v2.7.4 features improved AAC and MP3 ID3 tag reading, minor improvements and bufixes.
