TimeToy 1.0 by LowNorth is a time stretching software, a fun and handy application for adding wild time-remapping effects to your audio files. TimeToy 1.0 needs mac OS 10.1.3 or higher ans is a freeware.

Griffin today announced the Griffin EarJams. The Griffin EarJams snap onto your iPod's existing earbud-style headphones and significantly increase the bass output, volume level and comfort. A sonic enhancing cone extends the sound directly into the ear and is protected and made comfortable by slip-on soft ear pads. Three sizes of removable pads are included for the perfect individual fit.

The new Griffin EarJams will be shown Tuesday at Apple Expo Paris and will ship in September for just $19.99.

Digidesign has annouced 2 new plugins by Trillium Lab's : TL Space and TL EveryPhase. TL Space is the first and only TDM convolution reverb for Pro Tools. EveryPhase is an analog phaser modeling plug-in for Pro Tools TDM and LE systems. TL EveryPhase delivers classic analog phaser effects, ranging from subtle modulation and tremolo to the most extreme filtered feedback

MSRP for TL Space TDM edition is $995 US. MSRP for TL Space Native edition is $495 US. MSRP for TL EveryPhase is $245 US.

GrooveLoops by Ron Miller is a compact and simple application for Mac OS X designed be a software version of a drum machine for creating drum patterns, loops and grooves.

Pro Tools 6.4cs8 for Pro Tools|HD & Pro Tools|HD Accel systems is now available for download from Digidesign web site. These 6.4 cs 8 release include these fixes: when Using Pro Tools in +12 dB Fader Gain Mode, the Level on Bus Paths or Hardware Outputs Could Be Incorrectly Increased by 6 dB, meters can display incorrectly in post-fader meter mode in a +12 dB session and other issues when using post-fader meter mode in a +12 dB session.

Arturia has announced today the availability of the demo version of its Moog Modular V v2. This faithful reproduction of the legendary Moog modular systems comes back with major improvements. The demo version is available on both Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X on download from the Arturia web site.

Audio Ease has announced that BarbaBatch is now available for Mac OS X. BarbaBatch is a batch sound file conversion program, which supports and converts more than 50 sound file formats. The v4 CD also includes the 3.9 version for Mac OS 9.

BarbaBatch 4 costs $395 and the update from previous versions costs $169.

At summer NAMM, Arturia announced the version 2.0 of its Moog Modular V. It's done and the soft is now available. This faithful reproduction of the legendary Moog modular systems comes back with major improvements. Among the features added in the upgrade are : new ergonomics, improvements on the oscillators, new Unison mode, new Audio-In possibilities, soft-clipping emulation is now done on each mixer, new modules (ring modulator, formant Filter,...), 200 new presets and much more...

Spongefork is a complete softsynth, sampler, live improvisation instrument, and soundfile processing application. SF's oscillators and interface are controllable via a unique XY based modulation controller, your computer keyboard, by external pitch tracking, or by MIDI input. Spongefork 3.1 fixes a conflict with Macs without sound input devices.

Spongefork 3 costs $59 and a 30-day trial version is available.

Digidesign hast posted the last update 6.4.1 for Pro Tools Mix systems only. Pro Tools TDM 6.4.1 is the final Pro Tools software release to officially support the Pro Tools|24 MIX product line on Power Mac G4 with OS X 10.3.4 software. This update features +12 dB Fader Gain, support for the new Command|8 control surface, hierarchical Plug-in Menus, support for 23.976 fps and more.

This update is free. Another update for previous TDM Mix systems will be available soon and will cost $35.
