Access Music GmbH, the company behind the award winning Virus synthesizer series has lowered the price for the 19" rack versions of their synthesizers. Thorsten Matuschowski, CFO of Access Music says "The worldwide success of the Virus rack series has enabled us to utilise advanced manufacturing methods. The result is a significantly lower price without sacrificing the quality".

The new prices are:
- Virus rack classic 795 euros- EURO (250e. savings)
- Virus rack XL 1295 euros (200e. savings)

The VS 2480 users will appreciate... this new version adds Control Surface functionality (HUI emulation). Great improvement indeed, you can now drive your favorite sequencer with it.

The 5.1 version is now available for Mackie D8B consoles. Download is completely free for all the version 5 owners.
Featuring :
- UseV3 Style EQ : A "Use V3 Style EQ" preference has been added to the Mix Options window. This global setting is saved with the session and allows complete backward compatibility with version 3 sessions.
- HUI Mode Improvements : Cut, Copy, Paste, and Shift/Add buttons were added to the HUI layer since Build 427, and Undo was moved to the Undo button. More functional buttons are now displayed.

Wave Arts has expanded its line of pro audio plug-ins to support Apple's OS X AudioUnit plug-in format. Wave Arts' AudioUnit plug-ins include: the MasterVerb reverb, the all-in-one TrackPlug channel strip plug-in with a compressor, gate and a 64-bit 10-band EQ, and the WaveSurround Pro spatial enhancer/wide reverb plug-in.

Wave Arts is offering free upgrades to the Audio Units plugs for existing Macintosh customers. Free 30-day demo downloads of MasterVerb, TrackPlug and WaveSurround Pro for Mac OS X AU/MAS/VST, as well as Mac OS 9 MAS/VST, are available from Wave Arts' website.

Creamware filled the 2nd of June an application for protection from creditors with the district council in Bonn, Germany. In clear: Creamware is in difficulties :-/

Mind that the products of creamware are still (according to some on the forums) good stuff running smoothly, that they stay in operation and maintain their 55 employees at work. The protection mesure is on point to help the company getting out of its problems and start again on firm grounds, happy and with pink cheeks.
